We supply and distribute Corten steel, which is also referred to as weathering steel. This category of steel alloys has been specifically developed so the steel does not need to be painted, and they develop a stable, rust-like appearance over time. To achieve this effect, we accelerate the natural process of rusting on weathering steel sheets, producing a rust patina within a few days-a process that would typically take up to 12 months in natural conditions. Once the rust patina is complete, we can apply a clear matt lacquer to seal the surface. This is particularly recommended for items that may come into contact with clothing, as the lacquer prevents any transfer of rust.

Our rusted sheet metal is predominantly crafted from Corten steel sheets and weathering steel sheets, suitable for both indoor and outdoor design applications. The rust patina offers a striking range of shades, from deep orange to rich chestnut brown, providing a versatile aesthetic for various applications. While “COR-TEN” is a U.S. Steel trademark, the term is often used generically to refer to weathering steel. These specialised alloys have enhanced resistance to corrosion, as the rust itself provides a protective barrier that prevents further degradation.

Corrugated Corten sheet metal roofing: We supply corrugated Corten steel sheets that are installed in much the same way as galvanised steel sheets. These sheets are delivered in a natural bright finish, although storage conditions might result in some surface rust. This is not a concern for outdoor roofing, as the material is designed to age naturally and form a protective rust layer over time.

For those who prefer an aged appearance from the start, pre-rusted corrugated sheets are also available on request.
