We use chemical and mechanical means to patina sheet metal to obtain an aged appearance. We produce aged brass, aged copper and aged zinc. Thumb nails of some are shown in the slider at the bottom of the page.

On larger projects we work with architects, designers and clients to develop bespoke patinas to achieve a unique finish to match their vision.

In addition to our work with brass, copper and zinc, we also specialize in distressing and patinating other metals, including pewter and bronze. Both metals offer a unique patina option that closely resembles the look of naturally aged finishes.
We have extensive experience with Corten steel sheets, where we can create rusted steel sheets and blackened steel sheets.
Outdoors, over time, Corten steel undergoes a remarkable transformation in nature, progressing through a palette that starts with vibrant orange and transitions through rich browns, eventually settling into a deep chestnut brown after several years of exposure.

Can patina finishes be protected or sealed?

Yes — finishes can be sealed with clear lacquer or wax coatings to preserve the appearance and reduce maintenance.
These protective layers help stabilise colour while keeping the tactile feel of genuine metal.
