We source our top-grade brass sheets from highly regarded German copper mills, ensuring a superior quality product with an outstanding natural surface finish. These premium brass sheets are known for their excellent dimensional accuracy, allowing our advanced CNC machinery to bend them precisely into long, seamless lengths. This precision minimises visible joints, ensuring a smooth and continuous appearance on extended bar tops.

We stock brass sheets up to 3 metres in length, further enhancing the continuity and elegance of our designs. To provide a robust and attractive foundation, we use high-quality MRMDF and Birch Ply timber, both selected for their durability and reliability. A visual beside this section showcases brass in its natural finish prior to the fabrication process, offering a glimpse of the raw material’s pristine beauty.

Once the fabrication process is complete, the brass counter tops move to our finishing shop, where meticulous care is taken to perfect every detail. Welded areas are seamlessly blended into the surface, resulting in a smooth satin finish, erasing any marks made during the fabrication process and ensuring a flawless appearance.

Customers can opt to leave the brass in its natural state, and let it age over time, developing a unique patina, or they may choose to jump-start the ageing process by opting for an initial patina treatment. The aged patina is a popular choice, particularly for those seeking an immediate vintage aesthetic.

We offer a variety of patinas for brass, enabling clients to customise the finish to their preferences. For high-traffic settings, we generally recommend either the natural finish or the aged patina, both of which complement the evolving character of brass. Although we can apply durable lacquers to help preserve the finish, we usually advise against their prolonged use in busy environments. Brass reveals its true charm as it matures, with its changing appearance reflecting the passage of time and use.

After finishing, whether left in its natural state or enhanced with a patina, we apply a beeswax polish to each brass bar top. This final touch not only provides a gentle clean but also creates a protective seal that helps slow the natural patina process, ensuring the brass remains in optimal condition as it ages.

Caring for brass bar tops is refreshingly straightforward. For both the natural and aged finishes, spills and everyday marks can be removed by wiping the surface with a soft, clean cloth dampened with a little water and a mild detergent. It is crucial to avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning products, as they can damage the brass and disrupt the patina development.

Over time, the patina will evolve naturally, blending beautifully with the brass’s unique characteristics. To manage the rate of patina growth or to refresh the surface after cleaning, beeswax can be reapplied. This straightforward maintenance routine ensures that your brass bar top remains a timeless and functional centrepiece for years to come.
