Hygienic Door Handles

Metal Sheets Ltd manufactures hygienic antimicrobial door handles and drawer handles in copper and brass. Copper has the intrinsic property of being antimicrobial, it kills many types of bacteria, viruses, and yeasts. Hygienic door handle are ideally suited to doors at the entrance to medical establishments, surgeries, dentists, care homes or any buildings where disease spreads easily.

Although these types of handles have traditionally been used in establishments where there is a higher risk of infection, they are now being used by a wider audience. Hygienic door handles are now being specified for a wide range of public buildings, hotels, shops, restaurants and cruise liners.

It has been known for years that bacterial infections perish more quickly on copper door handles or handles with a high copper content (including brass and bronze) and the events of recent years has brought this into sharper focus for a wider group of customers who want to do all they can to minimise the spread of any infections.

Antibacterial copper door handles

This standard range of products is aimed at new installations and replacements for existing stainless steel and aluminium door handles. The most effective antibacterial antimicrobial door handles are made of pure copper, our copper is 99.9% pure.
The Copper Push Pull Handle is 240mm x 75mm. The Brass Drawer Pulls are 400mm for top fixing and 360mm face fixing to 18mm MDF for example.

Natural copper will patina age and soil with constant use and will require period maintenance to regain the natural copper appearance and remain hygienic. Bar Keepers Friend
