A wide range of stainless steel grades are used across architectural, commercial and industrial environments. Below are some of the most commonly specified options, each offering its own performance characteristics.

  • Grade 430 stainless steel
A cost-effective stainless steel with moderate corrosion resistance, most suited to interior applications. Typical uses include splashbacks, shelving, wall panelling, equipment covers and magnetic noticeboards. As a magnetic grade with no nickel content, it is ideal for use as a magnet board material.
  • Grade 304 stainless steel
Often referred to as 18/8, this is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability, making it ideal for tabletops, countertops, kitchen wall panels, catering displays, signage and external cladding. It is also widely used in food, drink and water systems, including dairies and breweries.

Stainless Steel Sheet Applications

Stainless steel sheets are used across architectural, commercial, industrial and creative environments due to their durability, corrosion resistance and wide choice of finishes. Below are common applications for our 5WL, mirror-polished and brushed stainless steel sheets.

5WL Embossed Stainless Steel Applications

5WL stainless steel sheets combine visual interest with enhanced functionality. The raised texture reduces visible wear and minimises surface contact, making it ideal for heavy-use settings.

  • Architectural cladding and façades – Adds depth, shadow and durability to building exteriors.
  • Interior design – Used for column covers, door panels and point-of-sale displays to create a contemporary, tactile finish.
  • Street furniture and signage – Suitable for bollards, public seating and signage due to its anti-scratch properties.
  • Lifts – The anti-vandal texture performs well in lift interiors and doors, helping resist scuffs and abrasion.
  • Kitchens, bathrooms and washrooms – A practical choice for worktops, splashbacks and vanity units where durability and hygiene are essential.
  • Machinery components – Ideal for chutes, slides, guide rails and protective panels in industrial environments.
  • Sculpture and art installations – Popular with artists and designers for its textured, reflective surface.
