For indoor use, we normally recommend sealing the finished patina with a clear coating where the panels may be touched or installed in close-contact settings. This helps stabilise the surface and reduces the chance of rust transfer onto hands, clothing, or adjacent finishes. We also offer a blackened steel alternative where a darker, more refined appearance is preferred.

When specifying Corten outdoors, it is important to allow for weathering behaviour during the early stages. Rainwater can carry some rust residue as the surface matures, so surrounding materials and drainage details should be considered carefully. Folded edges, shadow gaps, and suitable fixing strategies can all help improve both appearance and long-term performance. Where required, we can supply panels either bright and unweathered or pre-rusted to order.

Our Corten steel wall panels can be produced in a range of thicknesses depending on the size of the panel, the fixing method, and the visual effect required. Typical material thicknesses include 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm, with full sheets, part sheets, and custom-cut panel sizes available. We can also advise on when folded edges or secondary support may be beneficial for larger panels.

Using our CNC cutting and fabrication equipment, we can produce plain rectangular panels, shaped panels, laser-cut decorative designs, folded sections, and related architectural components. This allows us to support both simple feature wall requirements and more involved schemes where multiple panels need to align accurately across a wider installation.
