Copper interiors bring natural warmth, rustic character and a rich patina that develops beautifully over time. From kitchens and feature walls to bespoke panels and bar fronts, copper adds depth and individuality to both modern and traditional spaces.
Are you considering copper as a theme for your interior design project? The warm brown tones of copper develop a rustic feel as they age, and the tactile quality of genuine copper sheet metal is incredibly reassuring.
We offer a range of products suited for both commercial and residential decor, with options for natural copper or aged patina finishes.

When incorporating copper into a home, three key areas to focus on are the kitchen, the living room, and the home bar.
In a bespoke copper kitchen, we can clad all cabinet doors and drawers with copper, creating a seamless aesthetic across worktops, splashbacks, and panels. Our Copper Kitchens page showcases the latest examples of this craftsmanship. This process is best coordinated with a designer or kitchen fitter, as door sizes and hinge designs must be considered. At MSL, we use 1.2mm thick copper for this work, which offers greater durability compared to the 0.9mm or thinner alternatives used by some manufacturers.
Increasingly, designers are choosing copper kitchen doors for their natural warmth and subtle patina variations.
Brass cupboard doors and drawer fronts are trending at the moment, but the kitchen below is a fine example of exclusive blue patina copper door fronts under a natural copper worktop.

Copper worktops are a sought-after feature in kitchen design. We offer a variety of options, including integrated copper sinks and upstands to prevent crumb traps. Our copper sheets come in lengths of 3 metres (10 ft), which allows for fewer seams in larger worktops. All corners are seamlessly welded and blended unless you prefer exposed welds for a rustic aesthetic.

Our copper sinks are crafted from 1.5mm thick copper, making them robust compared to standard stainless steel sinks, which are typically around 1.0mm thick. Visit our copper sinks page to explore our bespoke options, which can be integrated into a copper worktop for a seamless look, or customised as top-mounted or Belfast-style sinks.
Copper islands are increasingly popular, available in various thicknesses and edge details—square or bullnose. Our 3-metre sheets enhance the visual appeal of large kitchen islands, which can also include breakfast bars, eliminating the need for separate dining tables.
Constructed from 1.2mm copper, our copper splashbacks provide rigidity and are less prone to creasing, particularly in uneven wall conditions. We can customise splashbacks with socket cutouts or other specifications. A note for your kitchen fitter: avoid silicone adhesives that contain acetic acid, as this will affect the copper. Brass splashbacks are trending and are worth a look.
We create copper table tops for kitchens in square, round, and rectangular designs, up to 3 metres long without seams. Bespoke shapes such as curves and polygons are also possible. Tabletop thicknesses range from 3 cm to 10 cm, with square or bullnose edges on request.
Copper Dining Table Tops are popular and often act as centrepieces in copper interiors. The living room offers a space to make a bold design statement about copper interiors. We’ve collaborated with numerous designers and clients, showcasing one of those commissions here. The same specification for design choices as copper kitchen table tops. Bespoke shapes, such as curves and polygons, are possible. Tabletop thicknesses range from 3 cm to 10 cm, and edges can be square or bullnose upon request.
What a feature! Available in natural copper or aged patina finishes, our copper wall panels can serve as striking visual features. Options include flat copper sheets, cladding panels fixed to a subframe, or panels to your design specifications.
We also design and fabricate bespoke copper wall art in our Liverpool workshop, producing handcrafted feature panels and decorative installations in a range of custom sizes. Each piece is patinated by hand and sealed for durability, creating distinctive copper wall art suitable for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors.
In home bar design, brass bar tops and copper bar tops remain two of the most sought-after choices, offering a balance of luxury and durability that complements bespoke interiors. Brass is trending strongly, while copper remains a favourite for its rich living patina.
Copper is frequently used in hospitality venues, including football stadiums (like those at Manchester United and Spurs), arenas, pubs, clubs, hotels, and restaurants, as well as in retail and corporate settings for design features such as copper table tops in boardrooms. Common design items in these venues include copper bar tops and copper table tops, worktops, bar fronts, and other decorative elements.
We’ve manufactured countless copper bar tops, showcasing the creativity of designers working with this material. We handle custom designs based on practical fabrication needs, ensuring that the final product aligns with the designer’s vision. Copper is less commonly used in bar fronts, presenting an opportunity for unique designs. Options include flat or hammered copper sheets, varying degrees of coverage (whole front or selected panels), and footrails (although brass or stainless steel is more typical for practicality). The example below demonstrates our work, a bar front fitted with copper panels in a bespoke aged patina.
We supply a variety of copper table tops for pubs, with standard sizes like 60cm x 60cm and 70cm x 70cm. Bespoke sizes and shapes are also available to fit your venue’s needs. Round, hammered copper table tops up to 90cm are an option as well. And don’t forget about mirror copper which is often used for feature table tops.
Copper wall cladding continues to gain fans of copper interiors in design circles. We can offer flat sheets or pressed cladding panels. If you need help with designing a cladding system, we are here to assist. The copper can be left natural or patina-finished in a range of hues and colours. See later in this article for more info.
The final product we can offer for a busy space and busy doorways is copper wall corner protectors. Supplied either as natural to patina as time goes by or we help the ageing along with an aged copper patina. We make these to whatever size you require, quite often wall corner protectors are added at a later date when the problem of damage to walls becomes apparent.

Finishes are a significant aspect of copper design. At MSL, we have a patina development laboratory dedicated to creating bespoke patina finishes for our clients.
Natural copper will develop a patina over time due to exposure to moisture, temperature variations, and atmospheric pollution. Notably, natural copper is also antimicrobial, as most common viruses cannot survive long on its surface.
For busy environments like bars, we recommend allowing copper to age naturally rather than applying lacquer, as maintenance can be unpredictable. This results in a beautiful, evolving patina over time.
For less-trafficked items, we often apply a durable clear lacquer to patinated surfaces. We can also create bespoke patinas to enhance your copper design features.
